The Laurier University Charity Kouncil, or L.U.C.K., is an organization whose purpose is to raise awareness and donations for local charities and community causes within the Kitchener/Waterloo area, and beyond. This student activity prides itself in making an impact in the Laurier community and being able to help those who are less fortunate, and in need. The L.U.C.K. organization is committed to improving the lives of others and their quality of life.
Laurier’s University Charity Kouncil, (L.U.C.K.), was established in 1995 and since then has been bringing fundraising opportunities to campus for students at Wilfrid Laurier University. By organizing fundraisers and awareness campaigns, L.U.C.K. increases students’ awareness of important issues and causes that need our support.
The Laurier University Charity Kouncil hosts various fundraisers for all students throughout the school year in an effort to raise donations for selected charities. Some of these annual events include: the Charity Auction, Murder Mystery, and the Blood Donor Clinic. This year L.U.C.K. will be adding another event in the second term, so stay tuned because it’s a big surprise!
Overall, L.U.C.K. creates an opportunity for Laurier students to get involved and make a difference while helping improve the quality of life for so many deserving people. This is a great way to give back to the community and make a difference!
