
Ends Financial Reporting |

Ends Financial Reporting is a new system WLUSU has implemented that presents our financial information in a manner that is directly linked to the goals of the organization which are known as ’Ends’. The ’Ends’ are determined by the elected Board of Directors who then create their policies, one of which is the ’Ends Policy’, as seen in the WLUSU Policy Governance Manual. Instead of presenting each revenue or expense on an itemized basis, the information is presented in accordance with the goals of the organization.
This system is utilized for the following types of financial information as presented to the Board of Directors for the 2009-2010 term:
i) The Interim Budget
ii) The Operating Budget
NOTE: The Operating Budget is inclusive of the interim budget.
iii) Financial Snapshots
NOTE: Snapshots were presented on a period-by-period basis which compare the budgeted dollars allocated to the actual dollars being spent in order to illustrate the financial health of the organization.
