The Vice President: Clubs and Activities, also known as the VP:FUN, is responsible for overseeing the largest department in the Students’ Union. Over 800 volunteers work on nine different committees including the A-Team, Boar’s Head Dinner, Charity Ball, Fashion n’ Motion, L.U.C.K., Orientation Team, Shinerama, Winter Carnival, WLUSU Liaison Team. There are also over 100 campus clubs and faculty associations that help make up the Clubs and Activities Department.
About Burton
Burton Lee is a 5th year Kinesiology and Phys. Ed. Major at the WLU Waterloo campus. He has been involved in several capacities throughout the course of his Laurier career; ranging from different positions within the Department of Athletics and Recreation, to volunteering with the Students’ Union during Orientation Week and as a Hiring Committee Executive. In 2009-2010, Burton was the Assistant Vice President: First Year Experience and had the opportunity to program WLU’s cutting edge Orientation Week, as well as facilitate the brand-new WLUSU Liaison Team within Residence Life’s Student Leadership Program. As the Vice President: Clubs and Activities Burton will be working hard to ensure all Laurier students have frequent access to great events on campus throughout the year.
