About Pam Pam Blomfield is serving as the Vice President: Public Affairs for the 2010-2011 year. She completed her BA History with Honors degree at Laurier in the Spring of 2010. Since arriving in 2006, Pam has gotten involved at Laurier in many different ways. Beginning as a participant in O-Week 2006 (GO GREEN SPARTANS!), she has been a BACCHUS member, participating in their campaigns and helping to organize the sponsorship of the group. She has been a member of the History Students’ Association since 2006, served as a Year Representative for two years and served as Vice President Administration for the club during her fourth year. As a Faculty of Arts Council member, Pam was able to work with the FoA administration to give student input into the continuing development of the Arts Program at Laurier. As an Elections Executive during the past year, she helped to ensure that the Laurier students were able to have their voices heard and helped organize the elections that took place in February 2010. She has volunteered with Laurier’s Shinerama campaign as a first year, a Booster and the Promotions Executive in 2009. She frequents Laurier’s on campus restaurant and bar Wilf’s to get some Buffalo Hawk Fingers (with BBQ sauce) and some of their famous spinach dip and can always be found at the Turret during Retro Rewind nights. Pam is very excited to have the role of Vice President: Public Affairs this year. She is excited to work with the rest of the Management Team and Full-Time staff in the Students’ Union to oversee the positive representation of WLUSU. The Students’ Union has provided her with amazing opportunities during her time as a student at Laurier and she is eager to communicate with each and every student at Laurier to ensure they know what is going on within the Students’ Union to make their time at Laurier as special as her time at Laurier. |
