What is the Board?

The Board of Directors, sometimes referred to as the BOD, is a group of 15 elected Directors that represent the interests of all undergraduate students at WLU.  As a group, each Director of the Board is committed to gathering student input, advocating for your concerns and acting as your official voice to WLU Administration and the Municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal Government.

The Board is charged with one simple responsibility – to determine your needs as students and citizens of the WLU community and take action to ensure those needs are met.  The Board creates broad policies to govern all the operations of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union (WLUSU) and determine its future direction.  In addition, the Board continually monitors every aspect of the WLUSU to assess how effective its operations are in meeting your needs.

Decisions made by the Board shape and define WLUSU’s business operations (list), student volunteer positions (list) and dozens of Campus Clubs (list). 

To ensure the Board is making sound decisions, each Director is committed to gathering input from every undergraduate student at WLU.  Have a suggestion? Concern?
