First Year Council (FYC) is the representative body of first year students within the Wilfrid Laurier University Students’ Union. Members of FYC sit on various WLU committees, and act as a liaison between first year students, the Students’ Union and the university by representing the ideas and concerns of their peers. The council plans new initiatives for the benefit of first year students and works with other groups to create positive change within the university community.
